These Terms govern your use of Melelo, including its Library and QuizIX features. By using Melelo, you agree to these Terms.

1. Who we are

Melelo provides a reading platform for schools. For help or questions, email [email protected].

2. School and user access

Melelo is designed for use by schools and their authorised users. Schools manage access for their staff and pupils. If you use Melelo on behalf of a school, you confirm that you are authorised to do so.

Use only the account and access level given to you. Keep your sign-in details secure and do not try to access another person's account.

3. Using Melelo

Melelo supports reading discovery, reading-comprehension practice and related school activity. Some features, including QuizIX, may be available only where they have been enabled for your school.

• Use Melelo respectfully and safely, and follow your school's rules.
• Do not misuse the service, try to break it, or interfere with other users.
• Do not upload or share illegal, harmful or abusive content.
• Do not reverse engineer, scrape or bulk extract the service or its content, except where permitted by law.

4. Content, QuizIX and accuracy

Melelo and QuizIX are for educational practice and general information. Quiz scores and points are not formal assessments and should not be relied on as the only measure of a pupil's ability or progress.

Some content and book information may be supplied by third parties or enriched using AI. It may be incomplete, out of date or incorrect. We may correct, withdraw or make content unavailable. Please report issues to us.

5. Intellectual property

Melelo, including its software, design and content, is owned by Melelo or its licensors. You may use it for your school's learning purposes. You may not copy, resell or redistribute it except where permitted by law.

6. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or end access where we reasonably believe it is needed to protect Melelo or its users, or where there is harmful, abusive, illegal or unauthorised use.

7. Disclaimers and liability

Melelo is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by law, we do not give warranties about availability, accuracy or fitness for a particular purpose.

To the extent permitted by law, Melelo is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive losses, or loss of data, profits or goodwill arising from use of the service. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

8. Changes and contact

We may update these Terms from time to time and will change the “Last updated” date. Continued use after the updated Terms take effect means you agree to them.
